Sum'em up!
Sum'em up is a casual mobile number-merging puzzle game developed entirely solo, including game design, programming, UI/UX, and game art.
The core merge mechanic is combined with a board-shift system that steadily pushes the grid upward while spawning new tiles from the bottom, ending the session when the board overflows.
Mobile-first interaction is delivered through precise 1:1 touch tracking, enabling deliberate player decisions, while gravity-driven chain merges provide natural secondary rewards for efficient spatial planning.
Progression is fully procedural and endless, with milestone-based difficulty tuning that ensures consistent challenge, replayability, and long-term scalability without handcrafted content.
Role and Responsibilities:
• Built in Unity with a strict MVC architecture
• Event-driven systems for clean, decoupled gameplay modules
• Procedural level generation with mathematically balanced difficulty scaling
• Object pooling for tiles, UI feedback, particles, and audio
• ScriptableObject-driven configuration for progression and UX tuning
• Created mobile-optimized UI using Figma and Photoshop that supports scalable layouts
• Game feel/polishing, UX animations
